School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens’ internship program provides junior and senior high school students with the opportunity to intern at the school or work on school related projects to strengthen their job skills, expose them to the world of work, and build professional relationships. It is expected that students will select internship opportunities based on their own interests and career goals. As an intern, students gain experience with networking, following deadlines, and improving written and spoken communication in a professional setting. Students’ abilities to plan ahead, multitask, and show flexibility and creativity will be huge assets during the Internship course.
Several School Without Walls high school students are currently taking advantage of internship opportunities at the Francis-Stevens Campus.
